Chuck talks about the importance of Simple Plan Foundation for him and to the band

For Le Huffington Post from Québec, Chuck Comeau talked about Simple Plan Foundation, and the importance that the institute has to the band and to the society. For him, the music also give the direction for his life, for being what they are right now “thanks to the music, we found our passion, an goal in our lives, and it turned to what we are today”. In addition, Comeau says he never imagined that the SPF would be something so important and such a proportion which is today.

Today, Chuck and Jeff returned to Radio Canada to have a conversation with the interviewer  René Homier-Roy about the Simple Plan Foundation, the prize received (Allan’s Humanitarian), how’s the work for SPF, the idea of creating the foundation that came from Chuck’s father, how to give a destiny of the money and donations they got with charities and the realeasing of a DVD or a new album.

Canadian newspaper publishes interview about Simple Plan Foundation

The canadian newsportal website Ottawa Citizen published last Friday an article about the Simple Plan Foundation and how the guys work to help young people with many problems (social or disease) for six years. They also talk about the award given to the band on  Juno Gala Dinner & Award by Allan Waters Humanitarian Award. Simple Plan receives award for humanitarian support through the SPF!

Juno Awards announced today that the CARAS (Canadian Academy of Arts and Sciences) awarded for honor and merit Simple Plan for their actions in support of humanity through the actions promoted by the Simple Plan Foundation, which was established in December 2005 and aims help children, schools, institutions and other initiatives to promote a better recovery and development of children and young people with diseases such as cancer. Since its creation, the SPF has raised more than $ 750,000 over the years and in addition, the band was congratulated for the incredible presentation in September last year with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra (OSM) which raised $ 1 million that were reverted to the charities.

The band members Pierre Bouvier, David Desrosiers, Chuck Comeau, Jeff Stinco and Sebastien Lefebvre, received the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award 2012 illustrate that had ever been given to people so young, during the JUNO Dinner & Awards on March 31 in Ottawa.

The report released by a PDF file on the page of the Juno Awards says that the idea of rewarding the band started by the SPF result of the strong connection that the band created with their fans, as well as the lyrics presented in concerts and knowledge they have about the difficulties faced by young people who made ​​the Simple Plan had a direct positive impact on their lives.

Furthermore, this same report released to the press, is mentioned some other things the band made ​​on charitable activities such as participation of the singer Pierre Bouvier in the music that raised thousands of dollars to aid victims in Haiti with rewriting Wavin Flag by the Young Artist for Haiti, as well as Pro Hockey Life, and the collection of $ 1 per entry in Simple Plan Crew.

There is no question that the Simple Plan Foundation will continue to grow and that we will be able to help our communities for many years to come.”

Chuck in an interview to Alternative Press about SPF

Simple Plan Foundation creates Hockey clubs to raise funds!

The Simple Plan Foundation along with the company Pro Hockey Life developed customhockey sticks to raise money for the foundation. Simple Plan is known for liking hockey, so that the season of tournaments they all vibrate with the games, and this initiative is further proof of how Simple Plan is always committed to its founding. Below you can see the post on  the official website:

As avid hockey fans, Simple Plan are excited to announce that they’ve teamed up with Sher-Wood Hockey and Pro Hockey Life for really special project – a limited edition Simple Plan hockey stick!! The band’s logo inspired this hockey stick and all proceeds from sales will be used to help youth in need via the Simple Plan Foundation.

“We are thrilled to be working with our friends at Sher-Wood Hockey and Pro Hockey Life on this new fundraising project for the Simple Plan Foundation. Being huge hockey fans, it was truly a unique and amazing experience to be able to design our very own Simple Plan stick. Even more important though is the fact that all proceeds from the sale of this stick will be going towards helping out young people in need through our Foundation,” said Chuck.

Simple Plan is heading out across Canada in just a few days for the next leg of the Get Your Heart On! Tour, so they’ll be stopping in select cities at the local Pro Hockey Life stores for special autograph sessions in the following cities:
