EThe magazine Alternative Press published in one of its editions a piece about Simple Plan Foundation, with an interview with the band drummer, Chuck Comeau. In the piece were mentioned the goals of Simple Plan Foundation, people helped by the band and more.

During the interview Chuck said: “Together we decided that the Foundation would have three main goals:

• - Aid organizations working with yuoung people that face difficulties;
• - Support charities dedicated to aid children that are in disease’s treatments, specially cancer patients.
• - Promote music as a way to help young people to find a passion in life and support programs of musical therapy that help sick children.

During the interview, Comeau also said that Simple Plan Foundation became part of them as a band, also that they always searched for ways to gather more money to be able to help the needed and also that they count on ‘friend-bands’ to help in some of the Foundation events, among this bands are My Chemical Romance, The Offspring, Good Charlotte and Arcade Fire.

To the end of the interview, Comeau reveals that looking after the Foundation demands more work that he expected but, to him, it’s not possible to translate into words how grateful this experience has being, he never thought he could feel so proud of something.

Comeau also said that he obviously knows that SPF is just “a drop in the ocean”, a little gesture in the whole world. But he has faith that this can come across and inspire other bands and other people to make a diference and help the ones that need. He wraped up his interview with the following quote: “In a world obcessed with celebrity scandals and gossips, this would be a great start, right?”
