Simple Plan came to Brazil a week ago for two shows: they arrived in Porto Alegre, to play for the Pepsi Music Festival (on November 13rd) and also at SWU Music Festival (on November 14th). “We promised fun. We’ll be able to talk to our fans, take pictures, do whatever they want. And, on the stage, we’ll give our best to make a good show and we hope everyone to feel happy.”

Pierre Bouvier to G1:
“We care a lot for our brazilian fans. We love their devotion. They wait for us in the hotel and are always voting on polls for us to win. They are very intense, in a good way.”, explains the singer Pierre Bouvier. “I still believe that people will see that rock is honest. It’s based on energy of boys and girls at the stage. Our music comes from our hearts. Nowadays, many artists looks like this. The funny rock needs to come back to the radio.”, says.

“That’s how we go. We’re just much thankful and lucky to be who we are today and it’s very impressive to play somewhere and see the same faces you saw in the past, but, at the same time, it’s also exciting to see the new ones from people who just found us and know a few musics.”

“I think this album is what we, from Simple Plan, have done together. All the best elements. We have the funny and young ingredients of our first record, the energy of the second one and sounds and themes of the third, and also a evolution to criate this fourth.”

Do you remember something meaning of the last coming of the band in Porto Alegre in March, 2009?
It was very exciting. The show was full of energy and fun. We’d like to repeat that, but with some new musics from “Get You Heart On!”, like “Astronaut” and “Jet Lag”. I want to prove the famous ‘caipirinha’ from Brasil.”

Sebastien Lefebvre to Portal PopLine:
You arrived in Brasil for the SWU Festival, which has the ‘susteinability’ flag as a intention. What do you think about?
We care about ‘giving back’. We have a foundation that leads to kids and we’re very happy for releasing this kind of work. And no doubts, the environment is a very important question.

Chuck Comeau for Jornal do Comércio:
“(…) ‘Get Your Heart On brings some experiments that left the musicians a little ansious and kind of insecure about the reaction of the fans. The most risking was Summer Paradise which has a pinch of reggae and hip hop, something that, according to Chuck, was necessary to give a new dimension from the last records. (…) ‘I felt very happy with the positive reaction of our fans. When we play it live, everybody sings and have fun together. I guess it worked because, despite being different, we feel it’s our song due to the arrangements, the voice and the letter.”

Jeff Stinco for Portal IG:
“The best part is that we have four records, so we can choose our favorite musics. We have many singles, so we can diversify even more. The fans will listen to songs of our last album. What we want is see them having fun, forgetting their problems for a second.”

Sebastien Lefebvre for Terra:
“It’s a song about missing your family your girlfriend or something of your past, like the high school friends when you moved. It’s the feeling of feeling strange in a new place.” (about Jet Lag)

“It’s nice to know that there are people who inspires on us and we do our best to give a nice example. We’re not perfect, but we try.”
